Alfredo Turrin
I was born in Milan in the 80s and have always been passionate about technology, gaming, and nature.
Games
Ever since I was a child, I've always been a massive video game enthusiast and a loyal Nintendo fan. I started with the 8-bit Nintendo, moved on to the SNES and the Nintendo 64 (where I spent countless hours playing what is perhaps the greatest game ever made: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time), and recently bought a Switch 2 (with a detour via an Xbox 360 and a great passion for PC Gaming).
My professional dream has always been to enter the world of video game development, but various factors led me down different paths (though always within the technology sector). Thanks to the evolution of powerful Graphic Engine tools (like Unity), I can now pursue this passion in my free time by working on various projects.
Escape From Hormuz
Navigate a supertanker through the myriad dangers lurking in the Strait of Hormuz. Dodge mines, explosive boats, drones and missiles, all while trying not to crash into the strait's shores.
I used Unity to create a Temple Run-style game set in the Strait of Hormuz, the scene of a tragicomic global geopolitical situation

To continue learning new things, the secret is to try and make everything that comes to mind. Sometimes you get the desired result, other times you create something useless, but in both cases, you've learned something new.
Shichijūni Kō
Historically, in Japan, the changing of the seasons was observed through the small shifts that occurred throughout the year: from the first cherry blossoms to the first frost in the fields, or the appearance of the first fireflies. These subtle changes were recorded on a calendar, the Shichijūni Kō, which identifies 72 micro-seasons.
This connection with nature, typical of Japan, immediately fascinated me, so I created an app that indicates which micro-season we are currently in, complete with a series of features:
• Engaging fullscreen images
• Authentic Japanese pronunciation
• Understated and minimalist design
• Season change notifications
